Lately I have noticed that I drop weight quicker following carb backloading than when I am a straight keto or carb nite plan. Is there any scientific reason why this would be? For example during the week when I am lifting and consuming carbs post-workout I actually drop weight at a faster rate than when I cut carbs out on weekends when not lifting.

leptin is influenced either by total fat mass (so the leaner you get, … you get it) or carbohydrates.
Thats why the leaner you get the more often you have to have your carbnites, until a point where CBL and Carbnites do a fusion dance like Trunks and Goten.

^^^agree. Leptin (if you are not leptin resistant) is the master hormone that controls everything and why most people stall at some point when fat mass hits a set point. Resetting the leptin set point is the tricky part.

There’s several reasons. Everyone is unique so you really can’t pin it down to one thing in particular. Some people, even people at higher bodyfats, do better on a diet that has carbs more frequently.
