I seem to recall seeing that diet drinks are by in large bad because they contain Ace K, which is supposed to spike insulin. If Ace K spikes insulin, can we use it post-workout? If leucine is good post-workout because it spikes insulin, why wouldn't Ace K be good assuming it also spikes insulin?

If you have no issues with artificial sweeteners then feel free to use Ace-K PWO.Still use the Leucine though.

Good observation, and you're right. You can drink ace-K sweetened beverages postworkout and it will only be of benefit. It's not recommended as a practice, because it only affects insulin a tiny amount, you'd need huge amounts of it to do anything significant, and this is one of those chemicals that breaks down into poisonous molecules you don't want lots of.
