Okay, I had to do this. On the subject of stroke, I know it's no laughing matter, but I think these ads are hilarious...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpR5_LQCyzk

I'm sorry but there's NOTHING FUNNY about this video. NOTHING! I've got a great sense of humor believe me but this isn't a laughing matter

This is just my opinion --->  I think when a person stops metabolizing fat, i.e. eating carbs throughout the day/sporadically, it opens up the door to all kinds of shit to happen. The body seems to recycle its own resources, hell it even sheds skin fully a couple times a year (like a snake!).  So to me, if you cannot rid the body of old fats and such you kind of go against the body's rhythm of restoring or "renewing" itself to maintain health. This study for example uses the average joe, who prob knows diddly-squat about what carbohydrates so i take it with a microscopical grain of salt. You can only live SO long...... you gotta ask yourself, "what do i really have control over, directly?"      DIET AND EXERCISE really....

Arrr1, uhhh, didn't you write this earlier?  I tried to post on this thread b b b b b b b b but I kept having strokes. F f f f fudgeBut you're right, strokes are no laughing matter. I just think the video is funny because the actress, in my opinion, hams it up a bit. And the flame across the forehead? Come on...

Have they recommended cooking in cast iron pans? I had low iron for a while and cooking in cast iron cured it.

Actually, I was supposed to go for more tests and such before leaving for Japan, but it doesn't really affect me much and I hate waiting in clinics, so I didn't.Thanks for the pointer, I'll definitely look into buying one once I'm there.

You are welcome. I have a cast iron wok as well, which might be easier to find in Japan, it rocks.
