I am wondering if it matters how low of a weight to use to start elect. In reading Keifer's article here:http://www.dangerouslyhardcore.com/542/the-shockwave-protocols-1-0/he goes from 33% to 78% 1RM. I intuitively just used my 3RM and did the previous 4 sets lighter. Leg sets in only 10lb steps and upper body 5lb. Example squat 160 - 200. My question is does it matter that we start at 33% 1RM or real low weight? It is hard to let go of the more is better feeling here and start higher. I know this is CNS work but not sure if I should lower my start weights.

When I run SW I go by 65/70/75/80/85% of my max. If anything run it off of the 90% max.

I generally start light. Really light. I take 20-30lb jumps and call the last 5 my working sets. The next week I just try to beat my highest number.
